Slim;s Wild West

Queen and Slim is the Black Bonnie Clyde for the new generation, specifically the Black Lives Matter Generation.

The movie starts out as two people who met on Tinder going on their first date but the ride back home quickly takes a twist for a turn of events, filled adventure, threat and determination. Ending up in Slim shooting a cop in self defense. Both Queen and Slim go on the run from the police in a wild chase, fight for their lives and fight for black lives against police guns. Their goal is to make it from the midwest of America to Cuba without getting caught. While this is happening their run is being broadcast across America and resulting in audiences rioting for their rights and friends turn to foes and Enemies.

Slim plays the cowboy in the movie Queen and Slim. Slim carries all the qualities of a cowboy.When the movie starts Slim is quiet and maybe seen as weak but as the story progresses it’s easily seen that Slim is a cowboy in his own right. He is full of masculinity, leadership and is self reliant. Slim is bringing order to the uncivil police system.

He is on the run with his Queen (who he plays a romantic partner to) and will do anything to protect her and honor his community. He knows he is on a mission of survival not only for himself but for the people he loves, his community and to make a change.

Queen and Slim were on a run through their version of the wild wild west.

They were moving through a town of frontier seeking new territory. On this journey they While moving in between hostile spaces, life is still being worked out and civilizations ways are not useful. Queen and Slim are in their twenties when they start this chase, they started off in their hometown in Ohio where they had to face corrupt law enforcement driving while black and then made their run from the police to New Orleans where they would find out that they were all over the news.

Once in New Orleans Queen and Slim would meet Queens uncle at his pimp house and shortly they would have to leave and take his Catalina, and hide in plane sight from everyone. (racist south)On the way to New Orleans they stop at an old cowboy movie type bar that is filled with different kinds of people. When I say different, I mean the definition. These people let Queen and slim know that they were safe at the bar.(welcoming safe south) The next day they made it to Florida where they met Queens uncles military friend where he had a secret bunk they could hide in and when the police came to raid his house they hide. When they were ready to escape there was a black cop who played the hero. On their drive to the coast they counted on someone to help them escape but they turned out to be a foe.(Foe south)
