Cars over time

Cars. Believe it or not, the first one was made way back in the 1880s' so needless to say they have been around for a few years now and just keep on getting better. Over these many years, the goal has still been the same with few exceptions, to get people from one place to another faster than walking or horseback. I'd have to say its been very successful. to see how far cars have come and what they are now is truly amazing. Now, for the most part, people get a car to get from point A to B, and as long as they get their reliably most people will never think twice. Some people need something more than just a car, they may have a need to move a lot of people comfortably or move large items. so they have pickup trucks and SUV's. These serve a purpose and are arguably much more common than just plain old cars. Then you have the cars that are designed to be much more eco-friendly. Hybrids car and SUV's often run off of just a tiny amount of gas and mostly electricity that come from large rechargeable batteries in the car. With the small gas engine, you never have to worry about the batteries dying and becoming stranded it will kick in and get you to your destination. Nowadays they have 100% electric cars that are gaining in popularity. At the complete opposite end of good gas mileage and being eco-friendly, you have sports cars. If you have a need for speed and some deep pockets these are the cars for you. They are not practical at all, terrible in the rain or snow, and your significant other will most like have you sleeping on the couch for spending all that money. besides all the downsides, these are meant for the people who don't see a car as going from A to B but, a hobby in itself. The car enthusiast. Now to bring it all back together, over the past oh 100 years or so the car has reflected what people need in their lives. Every decade has a most popular type of car, like 1970 during the gas crisis. people need a car great on gas mileage, not a sports car. Ever since cars have been in production people have had a need for a certain type of car.
