Rap Books

R.A.P
When it comes to the pop culture there are multiple things that interest movies, art, what's going on now in society, and music.  But when it comes to music there will always be a certain genre that I will hold close to me rap.  When it came to this topic I saw an article talking about books that are about rap and how they have changed things in society it interested me.  Rap has left a stamp on society and has made it so then we are able to see certain perceptions of life that we don't usually see due to the fact of where we live.  As I continue to look in the culture of rap you see people that dress certain ways and act certain ways but as time has gone on we see that rappers are starting to want to live just like the average person, of course, they have an immense amount of income but they don't want to be treated as gods.  Jay-z released a song talking about how no matter what if you are African American and black and no matter what position that you are in you are still looked down upon by someone and it makes me think that no matter what we do there will be someone out there that thinks that they are better than them and will treat them like that and spread that culture.  Rap is something that I hold close since it was some of the music that I started to grow up with and that it made me closer to my older brother and we were able to talk about how we felt about certain songs and makes it so then I was able to slowly understand how my brother perceived rap.  Rap is something that people don't see as music and just hate it overall or love it and accept it as something else but however,
they perceive it they are allowed to do.

The blog post showed multiple books telling about certain things in rap and how they have changed over time.  Now there is a new wave of Soundcloud rappers and mumble rappers that are doing it for fun.  But back when rap was just beginning it was something that was used to describe how people's lives were going and certain situations that they were dealing with these were more soul rap. Overtime rap has changed and people that were in rap before this new age has noticed it and don't know how to feel about it.   Overall rap will continue to change as time goes and will continue to evolve into something that we might or might not like.
